What should I do if my car does not have a VIN plate?

  • If you have not bought it yet, either don't buy it or if you really want it ensure you are buying it from the rightful owner. It might cause a headache so buyer beware

  • You can use to purchase a new VIN plate or work with your local dealer to get one

How do I add it to Schedule B without the VIN plate?

Assuming your P&D manager is willing to play ball then it's a simple step:

  1. Take a picture of the proof of OEM VIN on the physical motor of the vehicle

  2. Decode the VIN thru the Administration website

  3. Use the highest GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) on the result and provide the printout to your P&D manager.

Note: This is doable across the country but its dependent on you having a good relationship with your station management team so they'd want to help you out.
